We Recommend
Based on the information we gathered during our extensive research, we were
able to create a set of carrying case guidelines that can help prevent injury
and improve wellness by recommending the best case type based on an individual's
gender and weight.
While all of CODi's cases are designed to be the lightest weighing in the
industry, we acknowledge that a specific case model may not necessarily be
the best ergonomic solution for everyone. Therefore, we have established
CODi Case Guidelines to help you choose the carrying case with the greatest
health benefit to you. The following are the CODi Case Guidelines that
provide our Recommended Maximum Weight guidelines for an individual based on
their gender and weight.

Ergonomic Features of CODi Traditional Cases
- Wheelie straps can be found on almost every CODi traditional case model. Whenever feasible while traveling, it is best to remove your case and secure it to a wheeled carry-on or garment bag.
- Shoulder straps are constructed of a unique blend of neoprene materials that help reduce stress and fatigue. The shoulder pad is crescent shaped and should lay flat on your shoulder. If it does not, turn the strap around in the opposite direction.
- Twin adjustable sliders adjust the shoulder strap to fit your body. It is recommended that you adjust the strap to be as short as possible when in use. The longer the strap is extended, simple physics will cause it to move back and forth and therefore place additional strain and stress on the shoulder and neck muscles.
- Shoulder strap pick-up points on CODi cases are staggered front to rear. This has the effect of moving the case weight behind you approximately 50 degrees. This promotes stability and effectively reduces stress placed upon the neck muscles by up to 35%.
- Interior pockets are designed to place the weight lower and to the rear of each case. Balance is of primary consideration and having the majority of the weight closest to the body reduces stress.
- Our leather wrapped carry handles are padded for comfort and durability. They are designed to overlap and thus distribute weight evenly across the palm of your hand and therefore eliminating specific pressure points.
- It is suggested that should you typically carry more than the guidelines provided above, a wheeled case would be a more practical alternative to a shoulder case.

Ergonomic Features of CODi Backpacks
- A premium is placed upon light weight in each of our back-packs. Our offerings weigh 3 pounds or less.
- Dependent upon the model selected, all shoulder straps are curved and oversized to assist in weight facilitation or manufactured of our unique neoprene material.
- Oversized top carry handles are heavily padded. Several models are leather wrapped.
- Each CODi pack places the computer next to the body and seeks to place as much weight as possible as high, and close to the body as possible. Mountain climbers discovered years ago this to be the most comfortable and practical method of transporting heavy loads.
- Adjustable slides on each strap let you raise the pack to a comfortable level. This reduces movement of the pack and promotes stability. A quick release thumb guide lets the slide slip down for speedy removal of the pack.
- Each strap is sewn into a side-wing with box-stitch construction. This ensures the strap will not pull out of the seam.
- Larger CODi models feature an adjustable sternum strap. This promotes stability during transport and enhances comfort.
- It is suggested that should you typically carry more than the guidelines provided above, a wheeled case would be a more practical alternative to a backpack.
Ergonomic Features of CODi Wheeled Cases
- At 6 and 8 pounds respectively, both CODi wheeled cases address the needs of the mobile user by removing the weight entirely from the back or shoulder.
- The uniquely curved, telescoping handle is angled at 25 degrees. The noticeable benefit is a 43% reduction of weight being pulled versus conventional straight telescoping handles.
- Interior compartments are configured to place weight as close to the wheels and axles. In combination with the ergonomic handle, this reduces the effort required to pull the case and it's contents.
- Each model is designed to fit in an overhead or at your feet of regional jets with 50 seats or more. No need to check your luggage anymore.
- The Mobile Lite has a wheelie strap that permits you to carry it on top of a wheeled carry-on or garment bag.
- The Mobile Max has the ability to carry enough clothes for an overnight stay.
- Top and bottom grab handles help in storing or lifting either case in or out of the over-head of a plane or trunk of a car.
- The 2 3/4" padded top carry handle is centrally located at the top to balance the weight when carrying up or down stairs.
